The HAHN Automation Group (formerly Invotec) has designed and built custom automation equipment for medical device manufacturers for over 30 years. Earlier this summer, the company revealed a rebranding to the HAHN Automation Group, becoming the global lead plant for the group鈥檚 medtech solutions.
Throughout this journey, the HAHN Automation Group has continued to grow their facilities in order to meet the increasing volume, and complexity of customers鈥� needs within the industry. In 2015, the company expanded its manufacturing space in Miamisburg, Ohio, and in 2017, it added a second location in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
Today the HAHN Automation Group announced another major expansion鈥攖his time with a location on Byers Road in Miamisburg, Ohio. The building is located just five minutes from their headquarters on Industry Lane and adds 34,000ft虏 (approximately 30,000ft虏 of shop floor and 4,000ft虏 of office space.). Together this gives the company a total footprint of 119,000ft虏 across all three medtech locations.
鈥淲e鈥檝e seen a growing demand in our customers for more capacity, larger project spaces, and more engineers. The addition at Byers Road will allow us to accommodate these needs at our main headquarters (Industry Lane) by relocating some of our internal teams and inventory,鈥� says Jamie Rice, Senior Director of Operations for the HAHN Automation Group (formerly Invotec).
The Byers Road facility will house machining, raw materials and inventory, shipping and receiving, logistics, and several administrative teams such as Marketing, Accounting, and IT. The available space at Industry Lane will then be reconfigured to give customers larger designated areas for assembly and runoff as well as a stronger level of project privacy. It also allows office space to continuing growing mechanical and controls engineering teams.
The HAHN Automation Group began moving designated teams to Byers Road in August 2023 and will continue in a phased approach throughout the remainder of the year. The reconfiguration of Industry Lane is ongoing. At this time, billing addresses and contact information for vendors and customers remains the same.
